According to snopes, it's true ... some chinese hairbands imported into the US are made from recycled condoms.

I'm all for recycling, but there are lines that needn't be crossed.

recycled vs. used are two different things.

i could not imagine the logistics involved to make it profitable for the latter to happen.

i'm sure they are using the expired condoms that didn't sell in the yuan store.

Either that or they have a remarkable dedication in, and distiction of, use of recycle bins.

I believe the term of art is "post consumer".... I would skip that catagory in just about everything but steel and paper.
